Beach bound

The kids and I, along with my good friend Claudia are heading beach bound on Wednesday.
A week of relaxing out if the city, huge house to clean, driving and pollution.

I am pretty sure the amount of updates here will be scarce.

I might have time to get a few together tonight.

Today I had a bit of a scare with Leon, I will write about it when I am sure it is OK.

Sunday

It was a really relaxing weekend.
I didn't rest much though. Memo was away a lot, which means responsibility laid on me.

This was fine until this week when Leon became VERY mobile - not a moment still.

New week, new opportunities.

Garden

This is how my garden looks now (minus the two tomato plants), a bit over grown, but it will be fine. Tasted the first tomato today - delicious!

Leon 8 Months

Leon turned 8 months last week.
He now;

* Crawls properly
* Eats proper food, 3 meals a day
* Plays with Sophia more
*Walks if we hold him under his armpits
*If we stand him up against an object he can stay standing
* Is starting to stand up against objects

Anxious

I am so anxious to get our project started.
I want it to be up and running.
Of course there is a lot of planning and paper work to do, but I can't help but feel we are stalling and going nowhere.
As I write this I know it is not true.

Summer is here.
I guess I also feel a bit guilty for not having anything special planned for Sophia.
When I was young we would always do a bunch of fun stuff in the summer.
I know I shouldn't be so hard on myself though, it's - hopefully - only one year, Sophia is only four and next year our economical situation should look better.
Also, we are only 30. A lot of time to be successful, we should really just enjoy the kids when they are this young.

Oh well, nightly thoughts.

Sick Leave

I was horribly sick last week, hence the absence.
I am sorry.
Sophia is on summer vacation now, I hope I will be able to keep the updates coming.

Stay tuned

Movie rec.

Three great movies I have taken the time to watch:

The imitation game - great movie, watch it.

And the one about Stephen Hawking, I do not recall the name - also great.

Selma - about Martin Luther King Jr.
Very powerful movie.

Watch them.

Progress

How is the start up going, you asked?

Oh, very well.
Working hard actually.
I made an early investors presentation yesterday - the information booklet was put together last week. They go hand in hand.

What we are starting is a non-profit - which means that if someone wants to donate something they will receive a tax cut.
I mention this because right now, before starting with anything more serious we want to have a place ready. We know of a free space in an doctors building and we will use the early investors presentation and booklet to hopefully land the space - and the owner could get a tax cut if he would like to help us out with lower rent etc.

Ideally this would be answered withing the next two weeks.
Hopefully it is a yes, and things can start for real.
Filling in applications and writing purposes and a business plan.

Do you know of anyone interested in donating time or money to a non-profit working with learning disabilities (dislexia etc)?
Maybe someone who is an expert in the field who would like to earn some good karma?
Feel free to put them in touch with me.

👍

Post workout

Tonight's post work out meal was;

Egg-banana pancake and my home made mixed berry chia jam - sweetened with agave.

It is much taster than it looks. Pretty gluten free I think and totally added sugar free.

Great.

Amazing sky

A few times a year the sky turns a very weird color - shedding an even weirder light.

Today was one of thos days, just at sun set.

Here is a picture, no filter needed.

My Angel

The night when I was (almost) dying I asked Memo to hold me - because I was freezing. Memo told me he couldn't because he also felt that really bad and had to use the bathroom.
So. The most beautiful thing happened.
Sophia turned around to hold me.

It was a very cute moment.

I love her.

Hell

I have been absent because yesterday Sophia was home sick and last night I got a really bad fever. We had the worst night in forever, where at two A.M Memo also got sick. The baby was waking up once every 30 min & 1h - I almost cried never time - I had influenza pains all over my body. Horrible.
'Woke' up this morning with a migraine, feeling week and my body was sensitive. The day hasn't been very eventful.
Nor was the weekend.

Sorry.
