New week

Another new week starting.
Today will consist of cleaning the house, making lunch an preparing classes.
I am still trying to figure out what we should eat, not easy. Think it will be meat and asparagus.

Yesterday we kept it calm, lunch at Burger King, grocery shopping and a nice walk that ended up with some frozen yogurt.
We also watched the end of Arthur and Paranormal Activity 2. The last movie wasn't a hit. Very slow and "boring"... only a bit of action at the end - last 10 min.

Today I am lazy. I feel like I am coming down with a fever and don't want to leave bed!

Tomorrow it's november, and Sophia's due date seems to be coming up in a 100 km/h.... scary.

Graduation ceremony

Today we went to Palacio De Hierro - a department store, to make the mesa de regalos for the babyshower... a lot of scanning things, lets hope people buy the cute things! haha

We then went for lunch - a buffé place.
Since I am constantly hungry Memo thought it could be a good idea.
It was, I am still full.
I kept at the salad table mostly, a detour to some Japanese food, and that's it... but a lot! haha

We then went to Memo's place to see the kids Trick or treating and now I am alone in the couch. Memo went out with Gabriel.

Äntligen Fredag

Finally friday.
Which not only means all my good friends are back in Jönköping, but also that I am off to some market (still in Mexico) with Memo's mom.
It's pretty early, wake up call at 8.30, and I just had breakfast - watermelon. Will now eat a piece of banana bread (it came out perfectly, and so did the soup). Pictures will be up later today, I don't really have time now, and my fingers are hurting because they are so swollen - I can't make a fist anymore, too chubby.

Housewife and mother to be

Today has been a housewife day - or will become at least.
Not only did I only do work at the house (first part of the word), I also only did work a housewife would do: bake banana bread, roast almonds, clean, cook lunch, make roasted tomato soup for dinner and MOST importantly, Memito and I did some work on the baby's room.

Missing out

Most of my friends are returning to Jönköping this weekend for the graduation ceremony. I wish I could do the same, I want to go there too - meet all the people, wear the gown and hat, do graduation things.
But I can't, for obvious reasons.

Yesterday was packed with things; going to the market, cutting my hair, buying things for the baby, homework. Today I have nothing planned - maybe one class.

I am gonna make banana bread this afternoon - it will be fun.

Time really flies... it's already Wednesday, it's already almost November - yikes!
What happened with fall? It's more or less winter now (Sweden that is - here it's still summer in my eyes).

Yesterday I went into w30 (or 31 according to some) of the pregnancy - only 10 weeks left.

Although both Memo and I believe she will come before the due date: 5-6 of January.

Here are a few (educated) guesses on when she will come:
Memo's dad - Before the 15th of December (he just guessed without knowing the due date)
Memo's mom - Around the 22nd of December
Memo - the 20th of December
Me - around 2 weeks early to fit in with family (Baby Vincent, AK and me all came 2 weeks early-ish) so 21st of December
Niclas - 28th of December

Yesterday passed fast - I managed to get to ch.10 before Memo came home, and instead of finishing reading we did some t-account exercises.
Off he went, and I was left alone - I watched all episodes of "landet brunsås" on Svt Play. A show about the Swedish eating habits - I finished the season: 8 episodes á 30 min.

Today I will be going to the market with Memo's mom again - very nice, we need some more vegetables and fruit - we finished everything we bought last week.

Carrots

Carrots and a few more ingredients become carrot cake... I made one last night - divine! (; Haha
Actually it is very tasty, I made twice the amount of icing/frosting because that's the best part. (Picture later today)

One could say that the carrot cake was made in honor of my darling sister AK, it was her 25th birthday yesterday.
My gift - some help with her ticket to come here. I wish I could have been there.
Baby Vincent was up, and totally high on sugar, when we spoke - they had given him a small piece of cake.

I only had one class yesterday, but when I was done with class, and playing bakery, I had to do homework.
Not my homework, Memo's homework.
I am glad to help, and offered him this a few months ago.
So he asks me nicely if I can read a bit for tomorrow - of course I say.
How much? Chapter 2 -> 13.
WTF!? So he's got a quiz today, and instead of asking me already a week ago to read this, he comes they night before. Not bad! haha.... I told him I would try, but to read 11 chapters, and take notes - in spanish, is not gonna be that fast for me.
Plus I need to write a critic-thingie for the homework I did last week for him.

Sophia is doing good in the belly, and her new favorite activity is to kick downwards when I stand up - not very comfortable, but I think she's having fun.

Super busy

It's been a super busy, but awesome weekend!

 

We started it out with a 5h shopping spree on Saturday. Not much was bought - it took forever because of the amount of people at the mall.
Memo bought some shoes, we bought a dog for the baby and some pillows for the couch!

At night we were exhausted and had a movie night - enjoying the new couch! We watch bridesmaids and ate burgers. It was amazing.

Sunday sucked as always - because it's the last day I have with company.
We took it super easy - a walk to the store to get watermelon, I had two driving classes (went well), a long walk in the park, lunch with his parents and then a tour to "The home store" to get some more things for the house - we came home with candles, two carpets and glasses.
Main thing missing now is the frames - and furniture of course!

Hope you had a good weekend... now I need to figure out what we're having for lunch!

Packed

This week has been packed - not only with emotional drama but also with actual work and things.

I helped Memo's mom with translation - one of her patients didn't speak a word of Spanish - so I got to help.

Ready for my walk

It was cool, I got to go outside of the house AND talk to people that could understand me without a problem.
When we were done at the hospital we went to the market - le marché! I love markets - I used to love to go in Paris.
We got fresh fruit and vegetables - I got something that could maybe work as sour cream - creme fraiche.
It was nice - but by the end I was exhausted - and dying of heat exhaustion.
Nights are getting colder - but day time temperature still goes up to 29c's - try being pregnant and wearing pants, a t-shirt and a cardigan in that!

This week we had problems with the gas again. Our gas tank on the roof has been leaking gas since we moved in, so we have had to change gas 3 times in 3 months - usually one tank is enough for at least 3 months.
We were without gas for 2 days - no cooking or showering at the house - YAY

Otherwise this week has been a bit special since I have been giving classes daytime too - the American school has 2 weeks of vacation due to the Panamerican games - I wish I could have daytime classes every week. It's been so nice!

But the main even of the week you can read about in the previous post! It's HUGE!!!

Out couch is finally here!! over a month too late - but who cares! Memo designed it himself! i have been super busy with work and other things - a real update will come tomorrow! puss

Weird

It's been a weird day.
Not only did I cut my finger pretty badly (according to me) when doing the dishes, but I also think I just realized history is repeating itself - hiding the truth, things that are being said and done...
I am very "confused" right now... don't know how to act or react.
I am tired of being taken for a fool.

I will sleep on it and we'll see what goes down tomorrow.

A sunny Monday

It's sunny today.
Not too warm in the shadow and inside, but in the sun it was amazing - made me want to go to the pool, or the ocean!

Today we told my mom about the surprise - it was (obviously) a her surprise - we're bringing her to Mexico in January!

Tickets have been bought - vacation has been taken - plans have been made, she only needs to pack and mentally prepare for what Mexico is.
She was surprised, not as surprised as we would have wanted her to be - my dad managed to ruin the surprise a bit last week - but well.
I can't wait to have my family here.
I have to admit I am a bit lonely here.
I know a few people - but they are Memo's friends, and of course, there's his family - but again they're HIS family.
I am also not the biggest fan of certain people around - I do not believe their intentions are what they should, and another one was talking bad about me when I wasn't around - not my cup of tea.
I wish I had someone that I could talk to, or lean on when things aren't super great.
But well... we will see what happens, and where we're going in the future.

We had a "rough" weekend - discussions and talks - misunderstandings and stress.

One good news of the weekend is that I wrote my Statistics exam, and it felt good - passed!
So, I am now officially done with university!
YAY... that was celebrated - in no way (no comment). Maybe when my family comes - they know what a huge thing it is that I finally finished it.

I also sorted the babies clothes - and will clean it next weekend.
Only 76 days left until she's supposed to come now - I a starting to freak out that we do not have things ready!

This morning I wrote my last and very final exam of my bachelor's degree.
Feels great.
Now I am tired.

An ordinary Friday so far = nothing has happened until now.
I have studied statistics - exam tomorrow morning.
I have been to the store - the one around the corner, not Soriana - to buy some coke and raisins.
I have tried to make our house phone work - didn't go well. So now I have to wait for Memo to come home to try to fix the (minor) problem we have with the surprise.

The 4 day storm is over and the sun is back - finally. I was fed up with rain and 20c.
We might be off to Chapala this weekend to spend some time with a friend of Memo - but who knows.
The couch is also supposed to come (again!?) but we will see I guess.

Other than that the weekend should be calm and relaxed

No power

Today, pretty much all day, there was no electricity in the house.
It was raining.
What does this mean?
I was bored. Nothing - but really nothing - to do.
My computer is acting up and refuses to work more than 10 min without being connected to the "wall" - so the option of watching a movie on it was gone.
I used the Ipad instead. It worked fine, until the power cut continued - and the battery level went down A LOT.

Anywho... it's working now.

I am tired.

Have been looking for inspiration for our apartment online. Found a few things. Will show you tomorrow.
Gotta keep my eyes open for another hour - Memo should be home in 20 min.

What a day!

Oh lord, so many things I want to write about - so little time (read patience)

1st of all, and most importantly.... the amazing country of Sweden won against the less amazing country Holland tonight, 3-2.
Some might say we did not deserve to win... but then again, that's not how the world works - is it!?

2nd of all, no couch here. It's now supposed to come tomorrow before 3, but well - we'll see.

3d of all, tomorrow is a day off - yay! Not for me though - I still have to give classes... it's money.

4th of all, today I went with Memo's mom to Costco. I do really prefer it to Sam's Club. Maybe I can convince Memo to take me there on Weekends from now on!?

Short and concise - I am bored.

Mine looked way better though, cus the meatballs were home made!

Got no shows to watch - updated myself on the ones that came out yesterday last night, so now I need to wait for the ones of tonight - which come out tonight.
I am now enjoying an about 2 liter strawberry-banana milkshake (picture in previous post)... it will piss Memo off that I finished all the Ice Cream, but that's what happens when I am left alone, bored at the house.

Oh, and not to forget - for lunch I ate köttbullar och stuvade makaroner! MUMS!

I am slightly annoyed.
Two of my classes were cancelled yesterday - which is fine.
Just let me know in advance - not 5 min after the class is supposed to start!

I am very pissed.
Other than that things are fine.
Solving the last few things with JIBS about Saturdays exam and the surprise - which it seems like she's figured out what it is, my mom that is.
We'll see. I think we're telling her this weekend!! So after that I can tell you about it!

The weekend was very calm, in the sense that we didn't do much.

Friday started with Memo trying to get a hold of the carpenter that was supposed to deliver our couch a few weeks ago. They handed over some type of warning letter - and were promised it was to be delivered latest today. We will see about that.

We had dinner at Applebee's mostly because I wanted to see what the difference is to Chili's - and we were both tired and exhausted.
It was ok I guess.

Saturday we went to a Chinese restaurant - I had this Chinese food craving - but I have to say that it was the worst Chinese food I have ever had.
I miss Parisian Chinese food - bought on weight - cheap. Ahhhh, spring rolls with lettuce and mint rolled around them...mmmmmmmmm. I would do almost anything for that right now!

What was supposed to be a lunch became a day activity, and we came home around 6. Because of my contractions that was all we did until dinner time.

Sunday was spent in bed - except for lunch at Super Salads and a quick trip to the supermarket. I know I wasn't supposed to be up and walking that much, but I really don't trust my man with going there on his own, and coming home with what was needed.

My monday has been ok so far. I cleaned up the apartment, now I am resting. Need to start lunch soon. Will be looking for a tasty tomato sauce recipe first.

Improvements

Things are better here - the pills are working = the contractions are fewer and less painful.

I am still resting, I don't want it to start again - but no more stuck in bed.
I will clean up a bit today, cook and give class, we will see how things go.
If all is good I can continue doing it - if not I will have to slow down.
One thing I have to stop with is my walks - no more walks for me.
It's sad - I am stuck in an apartment - not fun!

Seems like I scared a few people with my previous post.

Contractions are normal - if they are Braxton Hicks contractions - not painful, nor regular...
The problem with mine is that they are more and more intense, come more often and start when I move (turn around, sit up, stand up, etc)

I got some pills today that I need to take in order for them to slow down, and I have been told to stay in bed and rest.
So that is what I am doing.
It's boring - but it will be worth it. It is not time for Sophia to come yet.
She only weighs 1,200g - a new born usually is around 3000 no?
Hopefully these pills work, cus last week we found a GAP here, and if I am lucky they have maternity clothes! Yay, Memo promised me we would go tomorrow, if I can!

Tonight we're having Burger King... as you might know from previous posts (written while in Turkey) I love Bk!!!

Contractions - fake or real - are never fun. Especially when the doctor says they're not normal and need to examine me more.
The pee is in the fridge and will be taken to the laboratory as soon as Memo is done with his breakfast.
Let's hope all is good.
It's pretty scary when the whole belly gets hard, and it kinda hurts - been going on for a while, but has intensified since yesterday!

It's Friday.
I just found out Helena and Niclas just got their apartment sold - YAY
I organized the whole "final exam to get degree" - thing - YAY
We finalized the whole surprise - payment, etc - YAY

Amazing!

I am SO happy.

Plus today is friday, which means left overs for lunch = I don't have to cook!!!!!! Double YAY
So what should I do with all these free time!?

Eat cookies (healthy ones - not to worry, Memo is on top of EVERYTHING I eat to make sure it's "ok")

Pregnancy wise things are going good, the back still hurts, I am tired - new thing since a few weeks - my fingers and toes are starting to swell - yipi!

Solutions

Solutions have hopefully been found to my problems with JIBS.
Now I can just wait and see what they answer - by tomorrow *crossing my fingers*
If the answer is positive I will have my bachelors degree soon!

I just finished a few hours of classes, all went good. I am going through the house (i.e. rooms, furniture etc.) this week, so it's not that boring. They seem to enjoy. Some pretty "bad" revelations have been made, such as the TV of the adult playroom only have sports channels and "that channel where boys kiss girls" - awkward!


I listen to this song about 3 times a day - I think it might be damaging!

Anywho, only to pretend you know nothing when the parents come to pick the little ones up.

Our couch is supposedly coming today - we've said this for 3 weeks, but the guy promised it would come today.
I guess we'll see... to me it's pretty doubtful someone would deliver a couch at 10 pm on a Thursday, but anything can happen in Mexico I suppose.

Tomorrow is Friday - cleaning day... I am super excited. Only two hours of class in the afternoon, and then we're off to see Sophia - we have an appointment at the doctors tomorrow - monthly check up.
I would have uploaded the pictures we get, but the dude really sucks at taking pictures of her, so I am waiting for the 3D one, which has been re-scheduled for the 28/10.

I am bored - Ch131 isn't working, nor is Surfthechannel.com so I have nothing to watch, I've read the papers like 10 times already. What else is there to do?

D Day

A lot of things going on today that are pretty important.

One of them is sending the info to JIBS about who will hold my exam for me here in Mexico next week. For some reason this seems to be more difficult than it should be, and it's starting to freak my out a bit.

The other thing is the surprise, that is now being finalized and paid!

Je suis fatiguée!

It's been a long day! Not only am I almost toothless now - missing two teeth. But also had 5 students today - the youngest is 7.

The dentist appointment went well - better than expected. I was actually nervous for no reason. No pain what so ever when she took them out - the only "scary" part was the cracking noise! I hate it. Now there's some pain, but it's livable.

Mexican electricity failed on me twice last week during class - and so was also the case today. Wtf... I had to hold my last class with candles. It was fine thou... only sucked that I had planned to use the internet during  class, not an option with no electricity of course.

Now I will rest!

Scissors hunt

So, when I got here I bought tini-tiny scissors to cut my nails - I am not a fan of nail clippers (read: I do not really know how to use them).
After having used them for a few times (read: I used them several times, worked fine, Memo used them once and...) they broke... the metal literary broke.
So I have been for a hunt for scissors since (read: First time I went to check for it was today) and didn't find any in the pharmacies I went to. Since nails have to be cut I had to buy something, and ended up buying nail clippers. Verdict: I still don't like them. Wasn't as easy and smooth to use as the tini-tiny scissors.
So, the question remains - where in Gdl can I buy tini-tiny scissors?! Anyone knows?

Anywho, yesterday I promised to upload the pictures from this weekend.

Things are going as they should here, Monday became Tuesday and I had another bad night of sleep.
Yesterday was nice, I talked with my whole family on skype - and Helena, Angelina and Emmy.
I saw baby Vincent walk!
How cute he is!!!

One of my classes was cancelled, and I ignored preparing the other two, so the day was pretty calm.
We ate Swedish Tacos - mums!
Memo didn't have class, so we even had the time to take a walk together at night - not bad!

Right now I am in bed eating granola bars, drinking strawberry juice - thinking about life.
A lot of things are going through my mind, as you can figure out, with the baby, the problem (yesterday's post) and everything.
All will be good in the end thou, although we cannot know how the end will look like.

So what did you like the "new design"... I don't think I am a huge fan, but need your opinion.

There's a new layout on the blog.

It's Monday again. The weekend passed fast - we were busy.

Vallarta - when life was easy

On Saturday we went down town, to a less safe part of town - yet ok to walk around in - obregon, to buy baby stuff. 

We left with our amazing stroller (can be seen in the previous post, during assembly), the car seat, some cute clothes (a cow one-piece that memo loves for example) and a towle with hoddie, that looks like a flower.

When home we took a small walk, and then we went to a family gathering - thingie. It was nice, I was shy. 

We ended our night with having sushi-japanese food.

It was nice until the a certain subject came up... the lie

I don't know how to react, what to say or what to do. We'll see. Trust issues - yes.

To talk about nicer things, yesterday a new day began. Wasn't too nice to wake up after an iffy nights sleep.

We went to Chapala with his parents and spent the day there.

It was nice. I took a few pictures with the Ipad, but I forgot to charge it, so I will upload them tomorrow.

The exam situation seem to have been solved here. 

I will take it in 2½ weeks here.
