Anastasia

She's back! Her return was amazing and all of us were too excited to even try to hide it.
Sadly it was almost straight away to work. But not until we'd had a bit of wine - our new drink here in JKPG, which you know I am happy about.

She arrived at Friday at 5 and I went to pick her up from After Work. We tried Centrum this week, mostly because O'learys was closed. It was actually really nice, they had guacamole.
From there we took Nastia home and then we went to our house where the boys and us started drinking, we played the game bunny-bunny and laughed like crazy.

On Saturday we all went for lunch at 12 at Prima, Yulia and I had a sallad, the girls a pizza and the boys kebabtallrik.
From there we went to systemet, got ourselves some more drinks for the night, and then the girls and I met up with Aaron to talk a bit abour our thesis.
After a small nap I headed down the mountain to Carlo's place for a pre-party.
It was a nice night.
Sunday was less nice, so that will not be talked about, except for mentioning it was my dad's birthday.

The week started this morning at 10 when we had a group meeting in school. Working on the thesis.
Spent the day there and came back to the house around 4.30, took a nap and now it's night time.

A hostel life

In the house where I stay right now there are officially 4 tenants; Patricio Estrellita, Kirill, Mike and Olof.
Olof is rarely there. Kirill has a gf with whom he stays from time to time... most likely so that he doesn't need to walk up to mountain (to be explained) and same goes for Patricio Estrellita. So technically only Mike counts.
The view
Now, there's also me, obviously, who is supposed to stay on the couch. Then we have Hubert visiting from time to time (read 3-4 days once a week) who sleeps where ever there is space. This week we also have Euan visiting from Scotland, who sleeps on the couch supposedly.
Last week Alejandra stayed for a day or so and so did Jasmin and Cissi. Once two girls even came for an after party, that failed, and stayed over (don't ask me where). Another visitor this week was Katie.

Anywho, I never told you about the house. The house is up in Mariebo, which is on a mountain, some might call it a hill, I call it the mount Everest of Sweden. It takes about 20 min to walk up there, and I can assure you that a gym card is not needed since it's a real work out.
The house is quite big, 4 bed rooms, 6 beds, 4 couches, a nice kitchen with a dish washer, a less nice bathroom and an awesome livingroom with an open fire and an incredible view of the city (since we're up on the mountain).

Life at the house is nice and relaxed, with emphasis on relaxed. People hang out in the livingroom watching TV and eating cheetos, or we just sit around with our computers eating chips.
From time to time one can hear a deep voice calling out "Ciggie time", which means that the smokers in the house will gather around in the hallway trying to get out on the porch asap to enjoy this moment of pure health (since the air is cleaner at this altitude).
Privacy is non-existent at the house and that is actually ok.

I would say that our house is just like a hostel, a nice, not so clean one.

Wednesday is Akademien day

... but not today!
Today the girls and I had a real girlz night, doing our nails, talking about private girl things and drinking wine.
It was awesome.
Cassia has a book I want to read... this one:
Why Men Don't Have a Clue and Women Always Need More Shoes: The Ultimate Guide to the Opposite Sex
It truly seems amazing!
A lot of fun facts about why men act the way they do and why women are superior! haha!

Other than that, I have helped Carlos gettin his new phone: the blackberry torch! I am so jealous!!!!! I want it too!!! It's a touch screen/keyboard phone... awesome
Anyone who feels like helping me fund it? It only takes around 6000 crowns here in Sweden.... around 12000 mexican pesos, and probably like 500 euros or something... expensive.

Anyways, I also studied for a bit and went to the Swedish Cultural day at the student house, nice nice... not bad at all. Also, Dia is back in JKPG for at least half a semster which is awesome! yay!

Now I will try to sleep before all the drunk people start stumbling in around 2 am waking me up!

Back to Jönköping

So my stay up in Västerås is now over. It should have been over already but due to the extreme efficiency of the Swedish railway company SJ I couldn't leave tonight but have to wake up at 5 am to grab a train at 6 which gets me to Jönköping at 10, when my lecture starts. Meaning I will come late.

It's been nice here, I've been spending time with the people I love; mi madre, mi hermana, helena, Angelina, Emmy and so on. It's been amazing.

I've been studying a bit, sent some emails about the thesis work and also been working on my CV which I have to send out soon.

Tomorrow I have class, as I said, and then I am meeting up with Carlos and maybe Julie. Some quality time with friends is never wrong.

I have to sleep now, after my talk with Memo.

Västerås

So today I went back up to Västerås, 5h on a train... always happy about it.
Anywho, the week went fast. School started and lectures were attended. Not bad for a first week.
We also had family dinner where we ate sushi and drank wine, while catching up on everyone's exchange stories.

So I am back up here because Helena is baptising her daughter Emmy tomorrow, so I made it up her to watch that.
I also managed to see baby Vincent in the pool with my sister today and had an incredible dinner with my family tonight.
Now I am all exhausted but will be waiting up for Memo to come back from work.

Also, I got my ticket to go to Turkey in April.... yay!!!

Another day

Today is just another day of being tired. Haven't done much today except for skyping with Memo and talking with the guys who live here.
It's been nice and relaxing, just what I need. Now I am alone in the house and will be watching shows for the rest of the night.
Maybe a skype session with Mammsen and that's about it.

Tomorrow I will be meeting up with Yulia and Julie and we will be catching up on the past year. It will be awesome. I hope that I wont be as tired anymore.

I wish you all an awesome saturday.

2 and a half month

That's what is left until Memo gets here.
Thank god for the blackberry chat and Skype.

So I've been back in Jönköping for a while now, had an exam the other day.
Now I am just chilling, waiting for Monday to come when we have the first class.

I havent done much since I got back, hung out with Patrick, Mike, Daniel, Emma and Yulia yesterday. We were supposed to party but I was too tired and went home at 10, had a 15h sleep and started over today. Although I am still super tired. So this Friday will be a calm Friday of watching TV and shows on my computer while waiting for Memo to come back from work.

Tomorrow Cassia arrives from Brazil, can't wait to see her, and the others that are coming down here.

Otherwise this weekend will be calm, no plans at all except for doing nothing and maybe go meet up with some people.

But that is tomorrow, today is about getting better from this sleepiness.

Train

I am currently on the train taking me down to jonkoping. It's boring and not too comfortable. I am texting with memo, but the e on my phone is being silly. It's very difficult to write, here too actually.
Oh well, 1h down and 3 to go.

Spring plan

The plan for the spring is pretty tight already.

The school year starts on the 12th with an exam in Statistics and then with classes on the 17th of January.
These classes will go on until the end of March when the exam week starts, at the same time as focusing on them we will probably start with our thesis... A lot of work.
In the end of March I am heading down to Ankara to visit mi padre and Bettina and Memo will come over from Mexico.
He will stay until the 15th of April and we will have an awesome time while he's over here. We wanna go to Istanbul, we will of course visit Stockholm and Västerås and the trip ends in Amsterdam.

After that the last quarter of the semester starts and it will focus on the thesis.

Not bad for a preliminary plan I think.

The question is only when I will go down to Jönköping.

A blog...

I never thought about the implications of having a blog. I never thought two times about who might be reading it and why.
I do not write about everything that happens to me, nor about too deep feelings, so that it's not too personal. The people that needs to know me knows me.

I know a lot of you might think that you know everything about me, or at least a lot about my life, this is not the case. Anyone who writes a blog is in power of what is written and unconsciously writes positively about themselves, or at least not very neutral.

I've done quite a few bad things since I started writing this blog a year and a half ago, I've also experienced many awesome things (which of course you've been able to read about).
Many times when something bad has happened to me I've written about something negative. I've written about my view of what happened without mentioning it even closely. The people that are up to date on the matter will understand this, the ones who're not will only realize I might be having a bad day.

Anywho, I recommend anyone to write. At least for me it helps me channel my feelings and better understand them.
Afterwards I can more easily let things go, or at least think less about them. I can move on.

Of course it doesn't take away pain or memories but, for me at least, it's a way of putting it aside.

Just something that popped up in my mind while eating cheetos and drinking coke!

6 Fishes and an aquarium

Today we bought 6 new fishes to my mom's aquarium. They are all orange and yellow. Pretty cute.

Anna-Karin and Vincent are here now. I gave some of the old clothes I had to her today, the rest, as I've said, is going to a second hand store.

Now we're gonna do exactly nothing. Or, wait... drink a blueberry smothie.

Missing Guadalajara

I've been back in Sweden for about 3 weeks now.
I miss Mexico. It is amazing being back with the family, don't get me wrong. But I miss my boyfriend.
The gang
He's amazing.

My time in Guadalajara was quite amazing.
We had a bit of a routine that I really fell in love with.
A "normal" day would look something like this:

We would wake up, drink some diet coke, cook breakfast, clean the apartment then head to Soriana, the grocery store.
Back home we would start thinking about what we would want for lunch and head up on the roof for some quality tanning time. We would tan for about two hours while talking about, to many people's surprise, pretty intelligent subjects. Then head down to decide on "the food problem" (Daniel, 2010).
We would either go for a Kelly's burger, a pizza or a kebab or cook something at home.
We would then go home, send emails, study or just watch some show. Afterwards, Memo would come over, we would hang out and start thinking about dinner.
A perfect day either Patrick or I would cook a nice family dinner and Memo and sometimes someone else would join us and dinner would honestly be amazing.
To finish of the night we would watch a movie, Memo would head off and Daniel, Patrick and I would watch "Cougar Town"; not only a show but also a class in how women work for the boys.

Anywho, today I've been trying to deal with my former shopping addiction which has resulted in a mountain of clothes in my mom's cellar. I've got a pile or two which my sister will go through and after that to a second hand store, and then the clothes I want to keep which are now in drawers.

More snow

It snows a lot in Sweden. It's almost like it hasn't stopped since I came here almost 3 weeks ago, if not more.

Snow is nice, but if it snows you gotta take it away, and today that was my job.
I worked my muscles for a bit, now I am strong and fit.

Other than that life "back home" is pretty relaxed and calm, some rearrangement of furniture, a lot of phone calls from my sister, visits of my sister, my mom's birthday was today which of course we celebrated with a nice lunch and some fika.

This weekend it will be Jönköping bound. Back to university and exams.
Too bad for me I don't really have a place to stay yet, hopefully that will be fixed soon.

The semester will feel long and will be full of learning. I look forward to it, but mostly I look forward to the end of march when I will get a visit.

It will be awesome meeting up with the lost friends back down in Jönköping. It will be crazy!
