Went mobile

I finally managed to get the mobile blogger app on my phone.

A month or more ago we forgot my phone in Vallarta, I am now using memo's moms old iPhone 5, and now got to turn it into mine.

The last day before Christmas and just as I felt two years ago, there is no Christmas feeling what so ever.
I am trying my best to make it feel like Christmas for Sophia, but sadly I don't think we will be able to get to celebrate a nice cosy Christmas this year.
Memo needs to work half day, we won't be having any particularly special Christmas food... Hopefully next year!

I am about to put the gifts under the tree - or Santa will. Memo is home soon and we will light some candles.

Have a sweet and merry Christmas

Great visit

We had a great day yesterday.

As a swede Christmas was over, and I am not sure how it was for Memo. He mostly seemed happy to be able to rest for a bit.

We went to one of Memos cousins house, had lunch, Sophia played for a bit.

Then we headed to Galerias to meet up with an "old" friend of mine.
Chepo and I studied together at JIBS in 2008.
We lived in the famous Alpha house, and because of the lack if internet connexion (just to mention the least of the lacks) we all (who lived there) got a special bond.

Some of be bestest (!) friendships were made at that house, and although we don't meet up enough, or keep in touch enough, they are still some of my closest friends.

First day of Holiday Vacations

We are enjoying - as should be enjoyed.

Woke up early, went shopping for a few gifts, napping (Sophia).

I have started to plan her birthday party, ELMO themed.

Sadly there are not that many Elmo things here anymore, during the summer there were tons of toys, clothes etc.

Here are a few ideas for the party:

I need to start actually making the decoration etc, she turns two in 2 weeks, and we will have the party in about  3 [weeks].

Here's a sneak peak on how the event went today!

Cookies, Lasagna and beautiful life

We're enjoying life as always, a little bit extra this week since Sophia and I will be on vacation on Friday until January 6th - Sophia's birthday.

I will make this post easy for me, pictures with captions.

Close

We were close to the end yesterday, or so it felt at least.

Now, if you are one of those who do not like it when parents talk about their babies fluids openly - stop reading.

---

Yesterday at school Sophia had diarrhea after lunch. I didn't think twice about it, diarrhea happens here, it was quite watery but I figured that would be it.
She went to play with Francia for a bit, and she got her underwear dirty when she farted.
I started to wonder what was going on.

She went one more time in school - with the same green water coming out. I went to talk to the Directora and said that if she had it one more time I will need to go home.

We went to the other campus and of course, 10 min later - she got her underwear dirty again with a fart.

I got into the car - luckily - because 15 minutes later hell broke loose.

Vomiting every half hour, with some diarrhea in between - and sometimes at the same time. POOR BABY

Medicine didn't help - she just vomited everything back up, in the end she was vomiting nothing.

I believe that it is a virus that she got from a girl in school who had the same thing the day before - I don't care that the dad says it was just something she ate, it is not possible that two girls have watery diarrhea and vomit one day apart.

We thus stayed at home today, she will stay at home tomorrow too with her father to really rest.
The vomiting is over now, but she still has a diarrhea.

Here are some pictures of the little angel, two of last night, and two of her rice breakfast this morning.

More Christmas prep.

Yesterday I baked more gingerbread cookies. I finished the dough I bought at IKEA in San Antonio back in June. It had been waiting to be used in the freezer ever since.
The cookies came out great.
I took pictures, BUT my phone ran out of battery so - tough luck.

I will prepare another gingerbread dough in a few days, need to make a gingerbread house, hearts, and some more cookies.

I also want to start making Christmas candy - mainly butterscotch and "knäck".

I give you a family picture that was taken on Saturday at the posada, and Sophia going nuts on the Piñata.
