Great weekend

We had a great weekend.
Relatively relaxing.

Memo ran the Atlas half marathon and manages to run it at a new record time - 1:29.
We are all so proud.
We were standing at around km 18 cheering him on with a home made sign.

We also did some necessary shopping to update the kids closets and I got some work out clothes.
Memo bought a new pair of running shoes. He took hours - without exaggeration - to choose them only to today tell me they are too big - and they were on sale, thus he cannot return them under any circumstances.

Oh well.

I also had two great days of work out.
Ran 5 km in 32 min which is amazing considering I could barely run 1,5 km a month or two ago.
I am happy.

Can't give you any pictures since the blogger app still isn't working properly and I have nothing pretty to take a picture of right now.

Image

You know that image of the little Syrian boy that drowned trying to reach Europe.

I believe we should all stop and appreciate that we are not on a tiny rubber 'boat' trying to flea war.

Just stop and think about him and all the other men and women, boys and girls that put their lives at risk - and some losing their lives - to reach safety.

Just close your eyes and think about him, that little boy, for a minute.

Cuddling

This morning we cuddle, a try to staff the day and the best notes in the hope of making it better than yesterday.

Enjoy your Wednesdays

Gym

The gym is going great.
Can't run though, my ankle is hurting.
Here is a gym selfie... Because finally I can take them too

Feeling of the day

Today hasn't been too good.
It's just one of those days when I feel the whole trying to make a life in Mexico was a mistake.
I have had to give up so much to stay here.
Friends
Family
Career
And there are days when I feel incredibly lonely and that staying here was a big fail.
We fight so hard, trying to do what is best for the kids, while trying to work on the side. And then nothing.

Maybe tomorrow is a better day.
