Frustration

It's been a while - again.
Time passes so fast, and I am tired.

Anywho, this post will contain complaining. If you do not want to read about my complaints, then you know the rules.

I have to vent.
Vent about the ridiculous amount of immatureness - not a word, I know - at the school.
Unprofessional behavior, childish behavior; none of which I have any energy to deal with.

Adult women, teachers, shouldn't have to worry about High School behavior, I mean come on.
Seriously.

1. Don't repeat everything you hear to people - you most likely got it wrong.

2. Grow up, "man up", no one will want to be with you after doing nr. 1 - why? you are asking yourself; you were just trying to please everyone around you - well child, sadly that is not how life works. People will have opinions about others; professional or personal that they might need to vent, not to be mean, not to hurt. If you repeat what you heard to the person in particular, who will trust you again!?

3. We are not in High School. We are, 30 +-5 year olds who are colleagues; unless we meet outside of work. It is common sense no to act like a bullying teenager, deciding who is your friend one day, only to change your mind the next. Last time someone acted like that around me was in Middle School and we haven't been friends since... Middle School.

4. A school is a work place. I don't need to be your friend - and most likely do not want to be - but keep it professional no?

5. A school is a place to give equal education to all - without having favorites. I love my group, but I can't pamper them, cuddle them, spoil them or treat them like my daughter (I don't even treat my daughter like that at work) because that is not being a good teacher. I am there to teach, to form and to guide - with love and discipline - don't undermine what we are doing just because you do not understand that.
We are doing it for their own good. Parents are there to spoil, not you.
You should expect more from them than they can, not give them the answers.

6. Did you every think of the the business side of owning a school?
Maybe the previous owners sold the school because their way of doing things wasn't economically doable in the long-run.
Having inefficient employees, giving too much power to parents, having 28 events (school funded) a year, seeing your employees as family; wasn't working.
Maybe they sold the school because it wasn't working anymore.
Stop idolizing what obviously wasn't working.

I am sorry for a negative post that, most likely, makes no sense to any of you.
But I need to get it out.
Out it is.
Now I can stop obsessing about it, insulting people and stress about it in my head.

It's time to sleep.

March will march

February was tough.

A real tough time at work;
*none logical
*mean
*disrespectful parents.
Parents who do not know how to keep their persona life to themselves.

Really... we (working with this) are exhausted mentally. There was no way I could have imagined half of the things that have happened - especially not this last week.

I hope March will march on in a much calmer way than February did.

We wont have any parent meeting, which means less stress planning, preparing, and organizing a meeting that parents do not even have the decency to show up to - because it's only to hand out a small paper no!?
No manches...
The poor kids whose parents didn't come were upset, the other parents wonder what the...
Oh well, enough about that.

I AM SORRY

I just have so much of this stress built up, because some parents don't bother, that I needed to get some out.

Thank God for the few that care! We appreciate them so much
