Sophia wanted to have chocolate cookies.
I grew tired of the chocolate chip ones I sell so I decided to try another kind.
The Swedish check board cookies.
Nowadays in Sweden they recommend you to start putting your baby on the potty/toilet at around 10 months in order for them to get used to it.
The head psychologist said that they have taken these measures since, in general, children nowadays start potty training too late and become dry much later than necessary.
Anywho, I also put Sophia on the potty early - not to take the diaper off at 9 months, but to make sure they are used to it and comfortable using it.
Let's see how it goes with a boy.
Sophia's first two weeks went great (at the school).
She seems to have integrated well in her group and likes the teachers.
Life moves fast and I have been trying to start some new routine, find some inspiration and just live - for these past weeks. Find my place.
It's midnight and the baby woke up.
I will write tomorrow.
👍💜
I am a bit annoyed at the moment.
So I will not write much here, becuse then all you get is negative posts.
But I will say.
Communication, communication, communication.
Something lacking here. I am glad that Memo has learnt it is the way to go, what ever problems we have at least we communicate.
So, coming from a school lunch background - never had a lunch box in my life, with the exception of when the lunch ladies were on a strike.
Below is a list I have made of options to send with her as lunch.
Hopefully she likes the options.
I love that Sophia doesn't care that Batman and blue is "supposed to" be for boys. She chose color and cartoon herself - stickers for her school stuff
The weekend was tough - alone with the kids.
Leon got two new teeth and wants to eat everything - the broom, Memo's bike tires, Sophia's tiny toys plastic bags - he also wants to be everywhere.
Forgot about this part. It is fun, but tiring.
Today we bought the last supplies for Sophia's school.
For me it is pretty weird to have to buy these things - they would all be included in the price of free schooling in Sweden, and I would have assumes paying a fortune every year that it would be here too. But no.
Oh well...
Here it is.
Friday, we will take it easy.
Memo is leaving for the weekend and I have 0 plans. Not so much because I don't want to, but because the kids are a handful right now and I will be alone.
Need to save energy.
So far we will:
Take sophia to Ice skating tomorrow.
Maybe meet a friend or two.
Hopefully go to the library - both can play freely.
I haven't been back to Europe since I came back from my stay in January 2013.
Two - basically three long years are about to end.
On November 26th we will finally be back.
First Spain, Malaga to see my dad and then Sweden bound.
Life is good. Life is good.
We went shoe shopping
The baby wants to start walking and Sophia for a new pair from the sales section
HUGE news coming this afternoon.
I did not forget about you and the news about Sophia.
I have just been busy, Leon's two upper teeth are finally breaking through the skin - they have been laying there, hurting him for about two weeks now.
Oh well, it should be over in a few days now.
Anywho, so the news about Sophia is that she will be bumped up a grade.
I am having mixed feelings throwing her into a group of older children - but everyone is telling me it will be fine - so fine it will be.
We will have to help her a bit more, give her more of our time to help her catch up, and keep up.
Now, back go binge watching Masterchef Australia.
Just got back from the gym and had a quick avocado toast dinner.
The daysl started out great at Sophia's new school.
More about that later today.
It was an early appointment and we then went to pick up Memo's parents cleaner that is going to help me put this week since they went to the beach.
Great!!!
I might actually have time for something but house work and the kids.
We then went back to Providencia to the Swedish consulate where we registered the little rugrat as a Swedish citizen.
A great addition to the Swedish population, if you ask me.
We celebrated with a magical meatball and mashed potato lunch.
Now, try to get the boy to sleep.
